General Policy

PMPerspectives Research Group protects your privacy and your personal data. Personally identifiable information (PII) collected online will not be shared, disclosed, traded or sold to other companies or organizations. We will not use any PII in our research unless specifically authorized by you to do so.
There are three kinds of data that we collect on the PMPerspectives website:

  • Personally identifiable information about you
  • Data about your use of the site
  • Comments that you enter about articles or on the discussion forums

Here’s how we use your data:

Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
PM Perspectives Research Group will ask you for personally identifiable information such as your name and email address when you register. This information allows you to comment on the articles and participate in the discussion forums. We use this information to communicate with you and provide any support required. Please note that although the website is secured by password access, the data being transmitted is not encrypted so we cannot guarantee the confidentiality of your PII while in transit via the Internet.

Usage Data

Our server will recognize the pages that you visit. This data may be used to improve the layout and content of the site
The Canadian government, via the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, is funding this site to enable us to disseminate our research. We will periodically aggregate usage data (e.g. by country, by month) and report to them. Your PII will not be revealed.

Comments and Discussion Forum

When you add comments to an article or on a discussion forum they will be seen by other site visitors. In addition, the PMPerspectives Research Group may incorporate these comments into future research articles or book chapters. They will not be attributed to you unless you are contacted and agree to such a disclosure.

Consent

When you register to use our site, we will send you a confirmation of your registration indicating the personal information that was obtained from your registration. Your registration will be treated as consent for us to use data in the manner described in this policy. By submitting your comments, you are agreeing to participate with the conditions as stated.

Hyperlinks

Our website may contain ad banners and hyperlinks that can give you access to websites run by third parties. We have no control over the privacy policies of such third-party sites, and we strongly recommend that you review the privacy policy of each third-party site that you choose to visit. We are not and cannot be responsible for your privacy on third-party sites not under our control.
